Project 1
With this project I learned how to properly frame shots. I have had no experience with video cameras before this, so it was a good first step to learn how to film. After I filmed it I did some basic editing to put it all together. This is my first real attempt at a video, and I think that is pretty obvious just from watching it.
PSA
Unlike the last video, this one had things actually going on. You can tell I am still learning, the footage is a little dark and there could have been more audio, but you can see me apply some of what I learned with the last project. I am pretty happy with how I edited this video, I think it is creatively put together and I managed to make a cohesive video by just filming empty spaces.
Interview
This video was fun to make because I got my brother involved, however it is probably the weakest here. With this project I learned that you can never have too much B-roll, the more footage you have the better, if you don’t have enough you end up with a mess like this.
Free Form
A big shout out to my sister for starring in this video. The best part of shooting this one was eating the cake at the end, it made the fact that all the footage came out too dark less painful. When I was editing it I wanted to pick a song that didn’t really fit, baking over this song is really funny to me.
Final Project
I really do feel like my final project is a culmination of everything I learned this semester. I am satisfied with how all of my footage came out, and it is all edited together nicely. It was also the most fun to film because while I had a general idea of what to do, my friends were able to help me come up with ideas to really make this video memorable.
